Description Released Of Chappaqua Home Invasion Suspect

Police have provided a description of a female suspect in a home invasion that occurred in broad daylight in Northern Westchester on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at a home on Pond Hill Road in Chappaqua when the woman unlawfully entered an occupied residence with what appeared to be a firearm and stole property, New Castle Police said. 

The suspect is described as a very pale white female. She is believed to be in her mid-30s, approximately 5-foot-7 with a large frame and medium to long brown hair, New Castle Police said.

She was reportedly wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with green sleeves, blue jeans, pink sneakers and carrying yellow flowers. 

"We still have no reason to believe the suspect is still in the immediate area or a threat to our residents," New Castle Police said late Thursday morning.
